Politte, 65, of De Soto, was held on Feb 21, 1988 at Free Will Baptist Church. The Rev Charles Miller officiated. Burial was in Iron Mountain Cemetery in Iron Mountain, Mo. Mr. Politte was born on Aug. 21, 1922, in Ironton, a son of the late Logan Politte and the late Myrtle (nee Ketchell) Politte. He died Feb. 19, 1988, in De Soto. He is survived by his wife, Norma Joyce (nee Hudson) Politte. Other survivors include three sons, Joe Politte of De Soto, Ronald Politte of Festus and Frank Politte of Bloomsdale; a daughter, Patricia Sloan of Festus; two brothers, Edwin Politte of Festus and Charles Politte of St. Louis; two sisters, Marie Drummond of St. Louis and Berniece Sloss of Cahokia, Ill.; 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Mr. Politte had been a truck driver for Parks Transportation in St. Louis. He was a member of Free Will Baptist Church and the Festus VFW. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Mahn Funeral Home.
