Charles L. Wilkson was the second child born to Emily Goza and James Michael Wilkson. Charles and his wife, Elizabeth Vineyard lived in Festus, MO. Charles died when his son Bartholomew (Bart) was twelve years old. A few years after Charles'Death, the family moved to Bonne Terre, where Elizabeth operated a boarding house. Later Elizabeth married W. L. Butler. Elizabeth became known to Bart's children as "Grandma Butler". Elizabeth divorced W. L. Butler and went to live with Addie Bowman's family. When Grandma Butler was losing her eyesight, Uncle John Wilkson kept her from going blind by paying her doctorbills. I'm working on the Wilkson family history.
