    1. Re: [MOJEFFER] Thanks Joe!
    2. This brings me to a question that no one has ever been able to answer for me. If it was required during the 1890 census to make a copy which was sent to federal and the original was stay at the county level (or vice versa) how is it that not one single county/census taker complied with this requirement? Were there not any consciencious workers who would have followed those directions - or, I have been given bad information concerning the directions in 1890? Marianne "Medlin" <medlincar@emai To: MOJEFFER-L@rootsweb.com l.msn.com> cc: Subject: Re: [MOJEFFER] Thanks Joe! 04/17/01 08:54 AM Ditto! Remember that about census records too. I think many people are missed there because one film is from the National record and others may be from a state or local record...and since there was only one original record made and then a re-written copy was sent to the sate and even local government, there can be 3 different records of the same census taking. Don't ask me which years this applies to, I don't have time to look that up, but I know it is true and I just offer it as a warning to recheck ALL available sources when you can't find your people. So what Joe is doing is very important, useful and very kind! Carolyn ----- Original Message ----- From: "B.
