City Library has an Atlas of Jefferson County from 1878 that shows the property owners of the county, bios of some residents & I believe some histories & descriptions of the towns. They may also have a 1898 issue. I think some Jefferson County historical or genealogy group could reproduce these as a fund raising project & a big help for us genealogy addicts. Adjoining Franklin County did this several years ago, but I think they are no longer available.
