He was born in Glover, Mo., in 1881, and at the time of his death was 69 years of age. He had been a member of the Masonic Lodge for more than forty years. The funeral service was held at the Mothershead Funeral Home in DeSoto on Monday afternoon and interment was in Woodlawn Cemetery at DeSoto. D.R. McCoy, K. R. Baker, H.A. Ira, Ernest Ward, J. L. Lutes and J. L. Blunt, Jr. of Desloge, attended the services as members of the Knights Templar which served as escort for the funeral cortege. Mr. Scoggin was an uncle of Mrs. G. V.
