If you're too far from Hillsboro, like I am, you can order it through the Missouri Historical Society. As you said, they want a date and a newspaper name. I suggest you start with the Jefferson Democrat as did Desoto Joe. I would think that 1865-1866 would be on one roll. Also, if you happen to see the name William D Pyeatt/Piatt/Pyatt (or, any Piatt/Pyatt/Pyeatt) in any issue - he enlisted in the Confederacy with a threshing crew in 1864 and I'm very interested in any newspaper account from any time period.
