This Saturday, October 20, 2001, the Jefferson County Genealogical Society will have two guest speakers. Della Lang will talk on Prohibition in Jefferson County and Norma Fuchs will talk on the work being done to create a Cemetery District in Jefferson County. Author and Historian Della Lang has written a new book on Prohibition in Jefferson County and this is your opportunity to hear the wonderful things she has found in her research. She is both an exceptional author and speaker. Norma Fuchs has begun working with Legislators, Surveyors, and County Commissioners to create a Cemetery District. This would provide funds for recording, indexing and cleaning up old cemeteries in our County. Please join us. The meeting and seminars are free. The meeting begins at 9:30 am and the speakers will start about 10:15 am at the High Ridge branch of the Jefferson County Library, 3033 High Ridge Blvd. High Ridge MO.
