To the Jefferson Co. Mailing list The following are inputs I received about various MOTHERSHEADS after I posted my question about Thomas MOTHERSHEAD. They follow in no particular order. The sender is indicated by whatever signature they showed on what they sent me. (1) I found a Clifton S. Mothershead who married Matlida Dearing on 01, Jan 1882 whose parents were Thomas Mothershead & Jane Wiley. (per LDS website) Lloyd (2) Mothershead, Sterling b. Jan. 1862 married 17 yrs. farmer MO-MO-MO Mary b. Dec. 1866 7/6 MO-IN-OH Sterling b. Nov. 1883 Thomas b. Feb. 1885 George b. Sept. 1886 Essie b. Nov. 1888 Julia b. Sept. 1895 Emma b. July 1899 All born in Missouri unless otherwise noted. 15 & 16 June 1900 Valle Twsp. Jefferson County (I'm pretty sure this was from Lloyd Carter, as was the following.) (3) Obit from Jefferson County papers; Mothershead, Jane - died Feb. 25, 1899 at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Whitsed, near Desoto. The deceased was born in Jefferson Co., Mo. on March 15, 1833, the daughter of the late Mr. & Mrs. Stewart Wiley of Dry Creek. She married Thomas Mothershead on Oct. 30, 1857. She is survived by one son & two daughter. Burial took place at the Pilgrim's Rest Cemetery.
