    1. [MOJEFFER] More questions on Jeff. County probate records
    2. The book printed by the Jefferson County Genealogical Society [Index to the Probate Records] is a wonderful reference but unfortunately most of the questions you ask (below) are not clear. There is no explanatory page or introduction, however the search string from the database is [Word=JeffCoProbateRecords-Complete] which would imply that this is a complete index. The beginning and end dates are not given. Nor are there dates given for the individual records. It is an alphabetical list of names with a Probate Case Number given for each person. I have looked at the LDS Library Catalog to order microfilm and it is possible that this book covers the period 1822 - 1933 (probate records) or possibly goes up to 1945 (index) but the reference is not clear. There is also no indication of whether copies of probate records can be ordered nor the costs associated.
