I have come across two more adoption deeds for Jefferson County Missouri; The first recorded in Book 25 at page 466, on September 3rd, 1884, Hamilton A. Jenkins of Jefferson County, adopts Nellie Kirn (a minor aged 8 years) of Jefferson County, this is a standard "Deed of Adoption" Second recorded in Book 25 at page 467, the next page, on September 3rd, 1884, August Racine of Jefferson County, adopts Carrie Kirn (a minor aged 6 years) of Jefferson County, this is a standard "Deed of Adoption" They were adopted on the same day. The Kirn family was from Jefferson County as per deed however I did not find a listing of them in the cemetery records. They probably lived in the vicinity of the Jenkins and Racine families or were relatives of these families, although this is a guess. Hope this helps someone out there.
