My g-grandfather was Dealo Pruitt (b. 29 Dec 1874 in Jefferson Co., MO). His marriage license indicates his parents were Henry and Sarah Pruitt. In the 1860 census for Big River Twp. there is a Henry and Sarah Pruitt; however, in the 1870 census (four years before Dealo was born) there is no record of Henry and Sarah Pruitt. I am wondering if they are the parents of Dealo. Family lore says that Sarah died giving birth to Dealo, and Henry died shortly thereafter. I sure would like to confirm whether the Henry & Sarah Pruitt in the 1860 census are Dealo's parents. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
