In researching James McCulloch, father of Minerva McCulloch, I have run across 3 marriages and am wondering if it is the same James. July 11 1830 James McCulloch - Catherine Brown November 29, 1832 James McCulloch - Lucy Baker May 17, 1849 - James McCulloch - Amanda Alvoid The 1850 census Jefferson County census show James, his wife Amanda, 3 daughters Sarah 19, Minerva 14, and Margaret age 10, along with a small child age whose last name I took to be Alwood, but may be Alvoid. Amanda is too young to be the mother of the 2 oldest girls, so James must have been married before. I am trying to find out who the mother of Minerva was.
