    1. Re: [MOJEFFER] Marriage certificates
    2. (I already sent this information, but, I think I accidentally sent it only to cindyh instead of the whole list as I had intended. At least, I didn't get it back myself as a list subscriber. So, if you've seen this already, ignore.) In case you haven't made a request to the Missouri State Archives in a while, they have a new procedure and rate schedule. I do not think they are do any mailings on this, only letting people know as they make new requests. Basically, if you are out-of-state they now charge $15.00 per "letter". All patrons can send four letters per year with four requests on each (this is from memory). The in-state researchers pays only for copies and out-of-state for copies and the research fee. So, if anyone on the list from Missouri doesn't use the archives service and want to 'loan me' their name and address four times a year, please let me know. Ha Ha. I spend all of my free money (as if there was such a thing with two kids in day care at $140/week) on death certificates, books, on-line subscriptions, etc., I spend way too much as is!! I guess driving to Jefferson City and getting to look at anything I want without a long wait is looking more attractive. Anyone in that area want to babysit a very laid-back 4 year old and a high-maintenance 20 month-old? I didn't think so ; ) Marianne in Mountain Home, Arkansas Josweeney@aol .com To: MOJEFFER-L@rootsweb.com cc: 01/11/01 Subject: [MOJEFFER] Marriage certificates 03:34 PM I got a copy of my ancestors' certificate through the Missouri Archives. It was a Xerox copy not a real certificate, but it was only $.50, as I recall. -Jo ==== MOJEFFER Mailing List ==== All MOJEFFER list postings are archived.
