Don't know why I hadn't thought of that before.... does the Jefferson Co Courthouse have the marriage certificates from the 1880s? Would love to have a copy of my grandparents'! Do we just write to the County Clerk's office? What information would we need to give (I think we have the right date for their marriage), and, of course, what would be the fee? TIA!
