Bearl Pettus, pastor. Burial was in St. Francois Memorial Park under the direction of Boyer-Benham Funeral Home. Mrs. Blackwell died Jan. 8 at the home of a daughter and son-in-law Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Meyer of Route 1, Bonne Terre. She was born at Blackwell Sept. 16, 1873. Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Ernest Meyer; five sons, Roscoe, Roy and Clyde, all of Bonne Terre, Val of Route 3, De Soto and Gilbert, of Bland; Three sisters, Lucy Cole, Nanky Cole and Mrs. Ed Manwarring, all of St. Louis; four brothers, Neal of Route 3, De Soto, Fred of Vineland, Brent R. of De Soto, and Howard of Blackwell; 16 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Blackwell in 1943.
