I have four family members who all died in 1890 and are buried together at the Pilgrim's Rest Cemetery in Jefferson County, MO. David Hale the father was 65 years old, his wife Nancy was 50 years old and their two children, Amanda E.Hale was 22 years old and their son Arthur E. Hale was 21 years old. This seems curious to me that all four would die in the same year and possibly the same day. I only have an exact death date for David Hale which is April 20, 1890. I'm wondering if anyone knows of church records on this family which might indicate the cause of death or if anyone knows of epidemics or other illnesses which may not be considered as an epedemic such as diptheria. All of their names are on the same gravestone in a large family plot. Any help to solve this mystery would be greatly appreciated.
