Posted on: Jefferson County Queries Reply Here: http://genconnect.rootsweb.com/gc/USA/Mo/Jefferson/426 Surname: williams, wilson ------------------------- I'm not even sure my Mary is a Herrington. I found that info on the internet, I do know she was born in PA and the Herringtons also came from PA. That seems to be why some people believe she was a Herrington. But so far I haven't heard any real proof. My Mary would have been born about 1780-90.
My husband's ancestor Mary Wilson, wife of John Wilson, is thought to be the daughter of Bartholomew Herrington but no one has ever found proof although I am still looking. John and Mary had a son Bartholomew H. Wilson but we have never found proof for what the H stands for and he may have been named after a friend rather than a relative.
