Mr. Turner, who had been ill recently, had been a patient at the hospital for about two weeks. His home for the past 30 years had been at Ironton. Services were held in the chapel at Mothershead Funeral Home 2 p.m. Monday conducted by the Rev. James Sweet, pastor of the First Methodist Church. Burial was in Woodlawn Cemetery. Mr. Turner was born in De Soto Feb. 27, 1895 and lived here until he moved to Ironton. He was formerly employed as a signalman for Missouri Pacific. Survivors include his wife, the former Minnie Helton; two sons, Joseph, San Diego, Calif, and Robert,Chicago; four brothers, Ross, and Emmette, both of Dearborn, Mich., Gene of St. Louis, and Walter of California. Also surviving him are four sisters, Mrs. Edith Johnson, St. Louis, Mrs. Elise Boggs, De Soto, Mrs. Etna McAnally, California, and Mrs. Edna McCusker of Ohio.
