Hello, Can anyone tell me how to get a hold of someone who has burial records of Hillsboro Cemetery and Sandy Baptist Cemetery? I'm looking for interment dates for relatives whose tombstones only list the year of death. Thanks so much for your help. James B. Johnston RaMTBeatles@aol.com
I'm replying to the Armistead family.I was told that the Woodcock family was recruited in Lebanon TN along with the Armistead family to come to Mo.This was slightly before 1840.Danial Boone went from state to state to get people to move to Missouri.I would be interested in any history that supports this.NJ
Was there someone out there looking for the surname of Hackworth? I have an obit of Cecil "Whitey" Hackworth from Piedmont, Mo. age 91. Lloyd
I cried the day they lowered the Confederate Flagg in SC and now in Ga. 51, 000. died at Gettysburg.(same as Vietnam). 12 family members died on the Confederate side. Over 253,000. died in the Civil war from both sides. Brother against brother, an anglo-war in America. Yet , it is played down do to "Political correctness". Barbara Boxer and Feinsten are not the answer-- they are the problem.... They represent a very dumbed down America, write to War Veteran members od Congress and the Senate.. The reason we are denied the knowledge of facts and history is due to Political Correctness . The book printed by the Jefferson County Genealogical Society [Index to the Probate Records] is a wonderful reference but unfortunately most of the questions you ask (below) are not clear. There is no explanatory page or introduction, however the search string from the database is [Word=JeffCoProbateRecords-Complete] which would imply that this is a complete index. The beginning and end dates are not given. Nor are there dates given for the individual records. It is an alphabetical list of names with a Probate Case Number given for each person. I have looked at the LDS Library Catalog to order microfilm and it is possible that this book covers the period 1822 - 1933 (probate records) or possibly goes up to 1945 (index) but the reference is not clear. There is also no indication of whether copies of probate records can be ordered nor the costs associated.
