I am not familiar with which portion of Sandy Valley / Sandy Creek might be the site of this settlement. As well, I have found references to a "Sandy Valley Private Family Cemetery", but the only cemetery that I am specifically familiar with in the valley is at Sandy Baptist Church. Can anyone help with these queries? Thanks, Randy

    1. Re: [MOJEFFER] Missouri Archives Email Requests
    2. I was in the habit of sending 'revolving emails' in that as soon as they found an item for me - I sent another request. This was at no charge except for copies. I know they have changed their rules and charge out-of-state fees of $15.00 and limit researchers to a number of requests per year. Did they tell you if this email request was one at a time or ONE per patron (lifetime). I know that some societies limit requests to one per lifetime. I went to their site and did not find the research policy or charge schedule. Perhaps they've had too many complaints and gone back to their old ways? Let me know if you find out. Also, now that they are charging for out-of-state requests and limiting # of requests for all - their waiting list may be a lot shorter. 3. I thought there were two separate cemeteries here, but records indicate that both the areas are one cemetery. Located on Hillsboro House Springs road & at Glade Chapel. The old church has the most interred, but further down the road, divided by an area of woods, is the other area of graves. 3. Posted on: Jefferson County Queries Reply Here: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/Mo/Jefferson/10458 Surname: WISE, RICE, JONES ------------------------- I'm researching the Wise family that came early to Jefferson Co., MO. Jacob Wise, who married Nancy "Anna" Rice, apparently came from Breckenridge Co., KY to Jefferson Co., MO by 1820. I descend from son, John Wise who married Frances Jones, of St Louis, IL. I'm specifically interested in the persons mentioned in this query, but am interested in all Wise families of this county as they are more than likely related. Thanks!
