This is not totally complete, but it is as much as the church could compile from their records and contacting descendants, up to about 1996. This is not for researching your ancestors, but focuses on Civl War history and research. Each of the following five classes are given every other month and each subsequent class covers one year of the War. The December classes are still being developed, so please mark your calendars to call for more information as September and October approach. Classes are free, but size is very limited. The St. Louis City Library also has an excellent genealogical collection, so please allow extra time to look at their Special Collections room. I found the original 1900 book on the History of Massac County IL there, with a biography and photo of my great-great grandfather there. A little closer to home, they will be the Speakers for the November 17, 2001 Jefferson County Genealogical Society Meeting on Civil War Research. The meeting is held at the High Ridge Library, 3033 High Ridge Blvd, High Ridge MO. The meeting starts at 9:30 am and the speakers usually start about 10:15-10:30 am. The High Ridge Bank was a branch off of it. he had daughters, I am not sure how many, but at least two. Delores and Margaret worked at the bank in Fenton. Margaret was married. I worked there around 1965-66.

He was born in Glover, Mo., in 1881, and at the time of his death was 69 years of age. He had been a member of the Masonic Lodge for more than forty years. The funeral service was held at the Mothershead Funeral Home in DeSoto on Monday afternoon and interment was in Woodlawn Cemetery at DeSoto. D.R. McCoy, K. R. Baker, H.A. Ira, Ernest Ward, J. L. Lutes and J. L. Blunt, Jr. of Desloge, attended the services as members of the Knights Templar which served as escort for the funeral cortege. Mr. Scoggin was an uncle of Mrs. G. V.
