I am researching my 5th great grandfather: Samuel Wilson, who came from Kentucky & settled on Little Rock Creek in Jefferson County, Missouri in 1801. Samuel had at least 3 children that I know of: Samuel, Jr. - Nothing is known about him at this time except that he died prior to 1841. John - Was married to Mary Herrington daughter of Bartholomew Herrington. John died circa 1844 in Jefferson County, Missouri. Children of Mary & John: Bartholowmew H. - born 1798; Samuel - born 1800; Isaac - 1801; Alexander Chambers - 1805, Jefferson Co., Mo.; Avington Kimbeilan - 1806 Jefferson Co., Mo. Elizabeth - is my 4th great grandmother & was married to John Henderson who settled on Little Rock Creek in Jefferson County, Missouri in 1802. Circa 1812 this family moved to Ouachita Parish, Louisiana & then returned to Missouri by the 1830's with their adult children settling in Washington & St. Francois Counties. John Henderson was deceased by 1838. Their son, Samuel W. Henderson, went to Nauvoo, Ill. in 1839 with the Mormons. I would be interested in any additional information anyone may have on these families. To see what I have collected so far please go to: http://carrollscorner.net/WILSON.htm THANKS!!!

Fellow MOJEFFER listers, please note at the bottom of this posting the source of this message and the contact info I am gladly passing along. Listers, For those of you who recognize the above name from the MOJEFFER mailing list, I have sad news to share. Lloyd's wife responded to a thank you note I recently sent to him, informing me he had been admitted to the hospital for a heart by-pass that resulted in complications and he passed away on November 3rd. Many may not recognize his name, simply because it was Lloyd's nature to help others quietly, never expecting recognition for his good deeds. He was a considerate and kind hearted volunteer who actively did lookups for many years. To receive an email from him with the subject line of a recent query was always good news. He went above and beyond to locate information for others, as if each name he researched were one of his own. I hesitate to include his wife's mailing address on-list, but anyone interested in sending a sympathy message to her may contact me personally for it. -Kay, FL MehdiFakhar@aol.com
I have some obits that I have collected from the Jefferson County Journal and Arnold-Imperial Leader over the years, and have never had time to post all of them. I am trying to get them organized and on a list, so I can let you know which ones I have and you can ask me to post. I will post them on Rootsweb.com If you want me to post, be sure and let me know the month and year. I have filed by Month first, then year, cause most people remember the month someone died and not the exact year. Here are some I have from 1999: OBITS I HAVE NOT POSTED FROM THE JEFFERSON CO. Just a quick notice, that we will be having Genealogy Night at the Park Hills Library (St. Fran. Co.), this coming Monday, Dec. 18th, from 6p to 8p. Everyone is welcome! Sue
According to census records, Katherine/Catherine Thompson married Thomas Montgomery ca 1917. And on the 1930, census she is listed as a widow. But, there is no record of Thomas on the cemetery transcriptions nor on the online Missouri death certificate index. Am wondering what did happen to Thomas Montgomery ?
Who should I contact, when a error is found in the cemetery transcriptions ?
