Miller, 73, 309 S. Payne St., died Sunday, Oct. 20, 1996, at a Lamar nursing home of an illness. Mrs. Miller was born Feb. 11, 1923, at Wichita, Kan. She was a homemaker and a member of Church of God Holiness, Liberal. She moved to Earlton, Kan., from Wichita and attended schools in the Earlton area. She had lived in Liberal and moved in January 1945 to Odessa, Texas. She returned in 1995 to Liberal. She married Glenn Miller on March 20, 1960, at Odessa. He survives. Additional survivors include a son, Leslie H. Rolando, Irving, Texas; a daughter, Betty Sisseck, Oronogo; her mother, Verfie Spurling, Earlton; two brothers, Willie Spurling, Fredonia, Kan., and Floyd Spurling, Wichita; four sisters, Georgie Wickwire, Odessa, Katherine Eccher, Liberal, Edna Hale, La Harpe, Kan., and Alice Hedges, Manhattan, Kan.; 10 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Gibson-Koch-Friskel Chapel, Chanute, Kan. Burial will be in Earlton Cemetery. Visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. today at the chapel.
