My great grandfather Elisha, who grew up in Tioga County, Pennsylvania, and who married Altheana Dann in 1856, was born about 1837. So although he also moved to the Joplin area (around 1883) with his family, he could not possibly be the Elisha Foster buried under the headstone in Carterville, that distinction belonging, without doubt, to 'your' grandfather!
