Do you know the parents of your Bennett's? He is descended from Peyton Bennett and Margaret Bodine. There is Cherokee blood in their line. Peyton and Margaret's children were: Matilda, James, John, Andrew, Margaret, Mary, Eli, and Effie. Andrew Bennett married Mary Scott and had children: George,James, Orin, Mary, Margaret, Howard, and John. Their son James Bennett married Nancy Ann Barrett and they had children: Rose, Charles, Henry, George, Edgar, Cora and Iva Pearl. They were located in Dade and Jasper County, MO in the 1800's.
