Hi Rose, Which parent was suppose to be Indian (Native American)? Would their son be your first cousin? If the family stayed in Jasper Co., MO., there might be a birth record/certificate. I am new to this list and am hoping for a good outcome for my search. My grandfather Willis Raymond Adams marrid Sultana E. Coats in 1939 in Sarcoxie. They were supposed to have had a son, he is said to be indian. We have been looking and looking trying to find our cousin, but until we found the marriage license, we didnt know where they lived. Since we dont have a census for that time for a while yet, can any of you suggest what we look for? I dont know if they divorced or if she died. Hopefully in CA Rose Adams ------------------------------- To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to MOJASPER-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message
Hi Kay: Puebula or however it was spelled would be our Uncle. Sultana was indian. I dont know what tribe, but in reading the history of barry co, it says the Osage were there. I have no idea when they came but on the BLM it shows them in Jasper early. I wish I knew how to spell the sons name. A lady in Purdy MO pronounced it Puebla, but I can only guess at best.
