If you take HH hwy due straight east towards Carthage, you will cross center creek at the top of hill you will make a left turn that is the correct direction. My grandfather's brother was killed at the Hurcles explosion in 1914.The only remains of him was his shirt on a fence post across the street from the plant. His name was Elmer Overby.Next time i'm over at Carthage I will get the info for you. Also I was 18 in 1966 when the other explosion took place.It blew the store windows out downtown.
