I have recently rec'd a copy of the mortuary record for my grandmother. A portion of the photocopied record is blanked out - as if a blank business card were affixed to the original record. I know I can call the mortuary and probably track down whatever was hidden, and I probably will, but I thought it might be interesting to turn to the list and mention this. Perhaps it was done for a reason.. The mortuary is THORNHILL-DILLON in Joplin, and I might mention that my mailed-in request was fulfilled cheerfully and promptly - a one-week turnaround from CA. I provided S.A.S.E. The records I requested were from Apr 1946. Apparently at that time they recorded everything on a card, long and narrow, with each entry (name, address, etc) numbered. The numbers range from (1) to (44). If you are familiar with this card, perhaps you can answer my query - what is the question (being asked) at entries (42) and (43)?
