William was the son of Needham Burkett and Annis Pruett. They had moved from Fayette Co., Illinois to Henry Co., Mo about 1855, then to Oak Hill, Crawford Co., Mo. then to Sarcoxie in 1879 from there moved onto McDonald Co. by 1900 I have not found an Elijah or Leon in their line yet. When searching the Jasper County, Mo 1900 census tho I found J. E. Burkett age 51 from Tennessee with his family. Also found Marshall M., George B, Jacob A., Susie, Kate and Millie E. Only one in Joplin city was Millie. Thanks
