Marlow, The only one I have is James Lawless and he is related to the ones in MO and Illinois. I am trying to find out which ones, (probably all of them). I know some of them lived in southeastern Mo because grandma has told me the family briefly lived over there close to some relatives while the father worked in the area. Thanks so very much I really appreciate your help. James B. Lawless was my gggrandfather and he showed up here in Livingston county Ky from parts unknown and all we know is that he had family in ILL and MO. Anything on the Lawless family could help me link him to folks in that state. I had posted because I was told there were some in the Jasper county area? It was probably prior to 1850 as they showed up in my area around 1850-1860 and start showing up on my census records. However they probably still had family left in the MO area. See if any show up before 1850. I about convinced that we are related to the Benjamin Lawless set, they also spell it Lollis, Loless, Lolless and so on too.
