Robin I find a number of Lawless' in the 1850 Missouri Census, 1 in Atchison Co., 1 in Cooper Co., 1 in Crawford Co., 2 in Platte Co., 6 in Saline Co. and 7 in St Louis Co. None in Jasper Co. I find no Lollis at all for Missouri, 1850. Do you have a first name or know which Co.? I would be willing to check earlier census records but I don't presently have the capability to check anything after 1850.
