Billie Lee McCune,69,Washington.died Thursday April 5,2001,at St. Joseph West Hospital,Lake St.Louis.She was born September 6,1931,at St.Louis,the daughter of Aurther Wall and wife Ellen Mae,nee Henson.Mrs.McCune was a homemaker.She was a member of the Payson Christian Church and the Hawk Point Ladies Auxiliary Post No.7560.Mrs.McCune was preceded in death by her parents;one son.Robert L.Flowers,one brother,James Garrett;and two sisters.Jacqueline Baehr and Bernice Simon.She is survived by her husband,George O. McCune,Washington;two sons,Bruce E.M. Flowers,St. Peters,and John R. Flowers,O'Fallen;four daughters,Jacqueline E. Katzenberger and Pamela J. Schlueter,both of Bowling Green,Deborah M. Villa,Logansport,Indiania,and Georgina M. Ruebling,Warrenton;one brother,LeRoy Killian,Bridgeton;two sisters ,Leona Walzenski,Indiania,and Jean Garrison,Colorado;other relatives and many friends.Funeral services were held Friday,April 6,at Pitman Chaple,with Rev. George McCune officiating.Interment was in Mt. Carmel Cemetery.Memorials to Payson Christian Church are preferred. The McCune family was served by Pitman Funeral Home,Warrenton (The Missourian April 11,2001) Iva H McCan, 97, was born at Tea, MO, on September 5, 1894, the daughter of Alfred Rector and his wife Frances McCune Rector. She died January 29, 1992 at Cedarcrest Manor Nursing Home. She received her schoolong at Tea and grew to young womanhood there. On March 23, 1910, she was united in marriage to Thomas McCan. They moved to Union to make their home in 1931 and one daughter was born to this marriage. Mr. McCan preceded her in death on September 20, 1957. she was also preceded in death by five brothers and five sisters. Those who survive are her daughter, Cecile Dearing and husband Walter of Union; one grandson, Larry Dearing and wife Margie of St. Louis; two great-grandchildren, Jill and Joe dearing; one sister, Elma Thompson of Bland; one brother, Oscar Rector of Washington; other relatives and many friends.
