    3. Hello, -I am looking for information on the MALONE & HARSTON family in Joplin Missouri before and after 1920- both of these are my great grand parents lines, My grandfather Charles John Malone died there in Feb. 18 1938, he was a pattern maker for the railroad in Iola Kansas where I was born, however he came back to Joplin Missouri before he died where he was living with his sister Bessie. I do not remember the names of my g grandparents Malone or Harston the last time that I saw them was about 1925 or so on the fourth of July , when we went o Joplin. I was 5 years old then and we lived on a farm in Bates Co. Near Merwin, Mo. Both of my great grand parents Malone and Harston were living in Joplin in about 1825/28. I have no birth or death dates however I remember them as gray and old , sitting on their porch swing, as my grandfather Malone and my uncle Jack Malone lit the fireworks. My great grand parents Robert Harston and Mary Ann Truex came from St. Louis and had a farm across the line in Ok. before retiring in Joplin. My mother would tell me about going to her grand father Harston's farm in Ok. where she would ride with him behind the team as he worked the fields. Both sets of my g grandparents died in Joplin,Mo. I could use lots of help if anyone knows anything about these people. Fordyce Logan, JR. LUBBOCK, TX.
