    3. Kathryn, Since you know the month and year that someone passed away, along with WHERE they passed, go to www.funeralnet.com and check for funeral homes in that town/city. Call or write, asking if they handled the arrangements, and if they did, ask that they send you a copy of the Record of Funeral. Records of Funeral give you USUALLY more info genealogical wise, than an obit, and the newspaper gets their info from the funeral home record. I've been using funeral home records for a number of years for source information. SOMETIMES, there is even a copy of the obit that was in the paper with the funeral record. I have a letter, which I send to funeral homes, if I can wait that long....LOL.., to request from funeral homes. If you would like for me to send it to you, please contact me at rgrassi@avalon.net, and I will send it file attached. You just need to fill in the funeral home name, address, city, state, and zip, along with the name/s of the deceased, and when they passed away. Good luck! ciao, Ron
