My GGrand Uncle Carl Markwardt immigrated from Germany, I believe in the late 1880s. My only family notes indicate he settled in Missouri and was a baker. I have located mentions of the Markwardt Bread Factory and the Markwardt Bakery from the 1930s located in Medoc and Joplin. I have been able to determine there is a Markwardt St. in Joplin but I have yet to be able to verify if it was my Uncle Carl. His year of birth was 1863 and he died in 1944. He was born in Mechlenberg, Germany. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
