Said he was a veteran of the Civil War; married a Mrs. R.E. Hines, who was 56. Another thing in the Joplin newspaper was an "In Memoriam" to our father, Daniel Bly. This was dated October 21, 1927. Since the wedding announcement said they would reside in Carterville, it's possible that Daniel's obit is in the Webb City Sentinel newspaper, or in one of their files. You might check with them.( Webb City Library geneaology section). I have copies of the above Joplin newspaper articles if you'd like them. There are obits in the Joplin Library index file cards on Joe E (d.2/1950)., Larkin (d. 11/1954), Sarah (d.8/1944), and Frank E. Bly (d.10/1953)...
