Hello, I need to reply to this as I have a Motley (Georgia Root Motley ) That signed my grandmothers wedding register in 1894 in Willowvale Greer County OK, Because of the nature of the signature, I am replying as my grandmothers husband was a Johnson B: in MO Jasper County in 1870. James Leroy! and Georgia signed cousin. But it was a note from Portsmouth Iowa. Which is where my grandmother was born (Waterloo Iowa). The Johnson's and the Wolfs were in IA in 1880. The Johnson were in MO in 1870. There is a connection but it is alluding me.I will look in data but I fear no other Motleys. Ennis rings a bell.Though.Anyhow you can look in www.normasplace.com and maybe you might recognize some of the names. Also in the old Greer County web. there is a list of all the people who signed the autograph book. Any and all help is appreciated and maybe I can help you Norma ----- Original Message ----- From: <sgottgriffin@aol.com> To: <MOJASPER-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Wednesday, July 17, 2002 12:33 PM Subject: [MOJASPER] MOTLEY, and ENNIS > This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. > > Surnames: MOTLEY, ENNIS, JONES > Classification: Lookup > > Message Board URL: > > http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/1MB.2ACI/2035 > > Message Board Post: > > Looking for WILLIAM THOMAS MOTLEY married April 3, 1859 to ELIZA H.
