Ann , Would you have any pictures that you've bought up of any Butterfields in Joplin/Webb City, or any for buildings that my grandfather H. F. (Frank) Davis built? He was a contracter in the 1920's - possibly a bit earlier, and into the 30's. He was supposed to have built the Junge Bakery building, that I know about. Perhaps there were pictures taken at the site of the people doing the work?? Also, my grandmother Margaret E. Margaret, I am sorry, the pictures I posted to the list is all I have that are not my family's pictures. I have nothing taken in Joplin and only found out about the Joplin connection about 2 years ago. My father kept us away from the family except his brother after my grandmother passed away. I do have some of my grandfather working in the mines, but I think these were around Picher, OK. I do have a question, however; did your grandfather come from the Davis' that go back to Lucy Wideman, daughter of Johann Heinrich Weidemann (John Henry/Henry Wideman)? I have an Uncle who is still living who may have pictures of Joplin. His daughter brings a few at a time as she can. If she should bring me anything that might be of help to you, I will scan and email them to you. I will keep you email on file and don't be surprised if a year from now you get something, it's happened before.
