    2. Candace, I thought it strange, and went back another time to check again - in fact went through the whole book. The strangest thing was that there were NO Jones in it, and I know mom went to school with Louise Jones, because I remember her talking about her. I thought that perhaps your Mom wasn't in school the day the pictures were taken, but then at the end there were names of those with no pictures to go with the names. I'll look once more, just to be sure. If you found your mom in 1929, and she was a junior, she should have been in the 1930 book. I can't imagine why they didn't alphabatize them. It would have been so much easer. Oh, one more thing, Mom had a program for the graduation - which was alphabatized, and there were no Jones' on that either....Hope we can clear up this mystery.....I looked through the pictures mom had kept from school and her young years, and the only one I found was the one with Bud Jones and Louise Jones and Mom. Margaret

    3. Dear Margaret, If you are looking in the Joplin high school year book of 1930,..... Could you please also look for some of my Schreiners in it? My great uncles should be in there. Benjamin George Schreiner Eugene M. Schreiner "GENE" Wallace Arthur Schreiner And maybe my great aunt, Blanche Julia Schreiner. Her Husband Murry Clark, Jr. graduated in 1934. Crossing my fingers. 3. Margaret, If you wouldn't mind I'm was wondering if you could check the year book for me also. I'm looking for a William "Billy" Colour\ Coleur don't know the correct spelling. All I know about the guy is that he may be a cousin to my grandmother and that he sent her a post card dated March 1920. He was living on R.F.D. 3 box 24 Joplin Mo. Looking at the photo he looks to be about 10 years old. I don't know if Billy attended Joplin high school. I don't even know if the address mentioned above would be in the Joplin High School boundaries. But if you wouldn't mind checking I would appreciate it. I'm hoping to learn the correct spelling of his last name. My father remembers his mother talking about Billy and he would very much like to locate him. Any help would be appreciated. 3. Margaret, I know why she wasn't in the yearbook.... my brother just told me she went away to some boarding school in IL across the river from St. Louis. Well, duh. Why hadn't he ever told me this before? I guess he assumed I knew? (Mom died when I was 14, but my brother is 13 years older, so he had a lot more opportunity to talk with my mother about her growing up years.) Sorry to have troubled you, but I didn't know about her going off to boarding school. I assumed she would have been in the 1930 JHS yearbook if she was a junior in the 1929 yearbook. Of course, does my brother remember the name of the school or the name of the town it was in? Nope! Thanks again for everything - Candy
