Spiva Library, Missouri Southern State College · 3950 E Newman Rd · Joplin, MO 64801-1595 They say they have an extensive collection on mining maps, with mine names, etc. You could probably exactly find the land and the mines that were created on the sold land. UMissouri Rolla has a collection with info pertaining to the mines. If you go to http://www.umr.edu/~whmcinfo/, there is actually a picture of Jasper County Miners at the Dividend Mine in 1902 ! They list their collection and have a "fact sheet" that describes mining activities
