My grandmother's father drowned shortly after she was born. My grandmother's name was Maudie Sidenstricker. Her mother's name was Martha Skinner Sidenstricker. I understand in those days even if the mother is living a child was considered an orphan if the father dies. I am not able to locate my grandmother from her birth in 1884 until her marriage in 1901. Appreciate any information.
