My grandfather, Thadeus Sobeski Snyder son of Oscar Augustus Snyder son of Oscar John Snyder and Caroline Whitney met and married my grandmother Eunice Margaret Chapman there in 1910. The couple resided near Quapaw Oklahoma where by father was born. They were also related to the Scotts of Scotland Missouri. The Snyder men were mostly miners and died off at relatively young ages. My father is now 91 and doing well but he got out of the mines when he was young.
