Is anyone out there familiar with the Webb City area? I have a subscription from Family Tree Maker for the 1910 census. I have located my great great grandfather George Wilson on the census living with his daughter Lola. In the margin next to their name is a street name. The image is poor and I can't read it. It appears to read Pra_ _ _ Ave. The census taker listed this street after canvassing Joplin ?. Can anyone tell me if there is a Prairie Ave or what name the street is one block over from a Joplin St. or Ave.? Roberta
Roberta, Going west from Main St in Joplin, you have Joplin St, Wall, and Pearl. The only other thing I can think of is that some street names may have changed since 1910. Sorry I couldn't be of more help. You might also try going to mapquest.com. When you search for a street address, just put in "P" or "Pra" and see what it comes up with. You never have to type in the whole name of a street on Mapquest b/c it will find the closest match.
