Surnames: Kollenburn, Main, Frakes Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/1MB.2ACI/2222.1 Message Board Post: I was just speaking to my sister-in-law this past week who is a granddaughter of Charlotte Frances Main, whose sister was Effie May Main. Effie's first husband was John Kollenburn. My sister-in-law could only remember three of the names of the children -- Elverda, Romaine, and Gayrete. One of my sister-in-law's sisters was named "Elverda Gayrete" and another was named "Romaine" for these three sisters who were children of their great-aunt. (The sister named Elverda Gayrete did not like her name, so she was always called just "Gay.") Was Effie married second to a man named Eugene Frakes who was called "Uncle Pokey?" That's what my sister-in-law remembers. She said that her father, who was Effie's nephew (son of Charlotte Main), lived with "Aunt Effie and Uncle Pokey" in Idaho. I wonder if that is correct. From all I can gather, Effie died in Missouri.
