Parents of Andrew Mckelvey b 16 Jun 1814 Ireland, died 20 Feb 1940 in Union, Jasper, MO, who married Allie Frame on 20 Feb 1840 in PA. This couple had 9 children all born in Meaville, Crawford, PA: Margaret, Jane , Thomas, Eliza, Alexander, John, Zachariah, and Jacob. Then the family moved to Jasper, Mo in abt 1845. Cliffton Haggard, who is deseased, had information that Andrew immigrated with his parents from Ireland to the US when he was 7 yrs old locating near Frederiscktown, Cecil, MD. Alexander was a carpenter and joiner and helped build the US Capital in Washington DC. After a few years the family located in Meadville, Crawfore, PA. This researcher also stated that Andrew had 3 brothers James b ca 1809, Alex b ca 1816, and Charles b ca 1816. Born in Raldoph co., Illinois. Does anyone know anything about these 3 brothers, the exact date when this line of Mckelvey's entered the US, or any information on Alexander and Jane. I am looking for documentation and haven't been able to find the ship record yet. I am also trying to go back in the line. Any information would be appricated.
