Sue, Re: Subject: Need help; From: "Carolyn Smith" <[email protected]> Date: Wed, 25 Jan 2006 05:43:36; To: [email protected] which included a query about years of operation by Wingo studio in Joplin I don't recall seeing any replies to the mail list. Perhaps you received something off list. In any event, you may find the info below to be useful. During the early months of 2000 there were posts to the MOJASPER mail list about photo studios in Joplin. The messages include some data about the years of Wingo Studio operation. You can peruse copies of the messages in Rootsweb's archives at: http://listsearches.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/listsearch.pl However, the dates are not precise. Perhaps study of the city directories at the public library in Joplin would help to find accurate dates for the studio's operation. Since the studio was on the East side of Main Street midway between 4th and 5th streets, the address was probably near 415 Main. With best regards, Bud H. L. "Bud" Burke Strafford, MO
"Bud" Thank you for your suggestions. No I did not receive a reply about Wingos. I found a picture of my mother and I think the picture was taken in the 30's.
