The records of the Joplin Children's Home are in the Genealogy room of the Joplin Public Library....and I don't believe it was ever called the Washington School children's Home.....the home was located at 3rd and Comingo in east Joplin, about two blocks from Washingtom School...the original house was torn down in the 1980's and a new building was put up to house the Boys and Girls Clubs of Joplin...
