    3. Hi Rachel, Thanks for the info- my married name is Doherty but all our relatives are from Scotland prior to this generation. I am looking for the Henckel name in Joplin from @ 1868 when I think immigration took place from Germany. If you can be of any help I'd certainly appreciate it. The only connection I have been able to find is my ggrfather is buried in Fairview Cemetary in the "Henckel" plot, he died in Nov 1879 leaving 8-9 children and a wife who just seemed to disappear. I haven't been able to find a definate census listing, land records, immigration record or anything. A connected name at the cemetary and is in several newspaper articles I have been able to find, is Schifferdecker.
