Yes they were! This is the same family. I have at least 50 Wyatts and at least 40 Owens in my database. I have a huge file of Adkins/Atkins/Atkinson folks. They were already in the area in 1870. My direct line folks were in Granby, Newton Co. My great-great-grandparents, Andy Hutson and Ann Adkins, were married in White Co., TN, before moving to McDonald Co., then up to Granby where brothers Wyatt and Owens' families were. I am looking for as much information about their heirs as possible. They tie to the Hutson, Johnston, Stacey and other area families. Jerry J. Hi Jerry, My Gr. Gr. Grandfather Ambrose Adkinson, b. 1835, NC; his brother John Adkinson, b. 1830, NC, and their mother Margaret, b. 1802, NC, were on the 1860 Census in Medoc, Jasper CO, MO. The I880 Census, Big Creek Twp, Taney CO, MO shows Ambrose and John with their families in their own separate residences. By 1900 Big Creek Twp., Taney CO Census Ambrose is gone (we presume dead) , John is listed with his family and now spelling his last name Atkinson as it continued to be spelled. We have a lot on John, his wife Miranda and their family in Taney County. However, we do not have much on Ambrose, when and how he died, where he is buried, and the whole Adkinson/Atkinson family before they came to MO. Any help would be appreciated. Marilyn California
