Charlene Carthage Press, Mar. 29, 1960 Mrs. Brueggeman, 70, Passes Away Mrs. Jennie M. Brueggeman, 70, wife of August Brueggeman, retired Carthage stone cutter, died at 1:45 yesterday afternoon in a hospital in Nevada. Long in failing health Mrs. Brueggeman had been in the Nevada hospital the last eight years. She suffered a cerebral hemorrhage four weeks ago and later pneumonia developed. Mrs. Brueggeman was born Nov. 4, 1889 in Jasper county and was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Wiggins. She was married in Carthage in Mar., 1910 to Mr. Brueggeman. Surviving in addition to her husband are a daughter, Mrs. Don Hartley, Kildare, Okla., formerly of Carthage; two sons, Karl Brueggeman, stationed at Fort Hood, Texas and Walter Brueggeman, Marshall, Mo.; four brothers, John Wiggins, Lead Hill, Ark., Walter Wiggins, Kingston, N.Y. , Ward Wiggins, 503 East Highland and Clyde Wiggins, 1408 South Garrison and five grandchildren. Mr. Brueggeman has been making his home recently with he daughter, Mrs. Hartley in Kildare. Mrs. Bureggeman was a member of the First Methodist church and of the Women of the Moose The body is at the Knell mortuary. Jennie is buried in Park Cemetery here in Carthage, the only Brueggeman. Perhaps August is buried in KS near their daughter? I can get a picture of Jennie's head stone if you are interested.
